While you’re at it, work a dab of anti-seize grease into the rear axle adjustment bolt threads.  MAINTENANCE Air filter oil migrates down. Check that the top of the filter is tacky with oil and re-oil it with air filter oil if it is dry on the top. Stock chains stretch quickly, so put on a top-of-the-line chain right away to save money on sprockets in the long run.  BREAK-IN A good common-sense break-in is to give the engine a heat cycle. Get it up to operating temperature on the stand, then let it cool. Don’t lug the engine in a gear too high for the first rides or scream it in a gear too low. Suspension breaks in, too. Watch the shock sag and keep it adjusted where you want it.

It has something for everyone from beginners to lifelong riders, kids to adults, and trail riders to mx racers, no matter the reader's previous technical know-how and tinkering abilities.I can't even express how much time, frustration, and money this book has saved me and will continue to save me over the years by showing me how to do things the right way the first time around. It provides a solid foundation in each category related to dirt riding, upon which I can do Internet searches and refer to my manuals to get the remaining answers I need specific to my bikes and my needs. Troubleshooting hints are perhaps my favorite part, because otherwise it takes hours of surfing Internet forums and filtering out the idiots to get down to answers that actually make sense.I wish there was a book like this for my other sports and hobbies.Kudos to the team that put this book together. First manual I've ever read cover to cover.

I bought this book not thinking much of it and when I got it while I was really impressed the outside of it was hard and protective and has chrome tips on the edges so it works good to keep around the shop working on a bike the pictures are clear and in color and as well as the lustrations. Which was y i purchased it.But it also has alot of other info about dirt bike n the sport and selecting the right bike gear tools etc.Its a good buy especially for the price.I still havent found a book that goes in depth with top end rebuilds. If anyone knows any feel free to let me know. Thanks

This is a pretty cool book for beginners and intermediate riders. It's got short easy tips on a wide range of subjects, all in full color. It has a lot of things I've had to search around the web for all in one place (like a checklist of what to carry with you on the trail). Quite frankly, I can't understand how they can sell a book so inexpensively considering the quality paper and full color printing. I haven't read the book cover to cover yet, but so far, I think it will be a reference I will refer to throughout the years.

Great book! I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in having a well rounded explanation of all things moto. It is also an excellent book to have in addendum to your shop manual as many of the regular maintenance protocols are outlined, You can't go wrong with this purchase if your a beginner or novice.

Great book. Content is very good, book is very well put together, metal corners and pages are a nice thick paper. I was very surprised with how nice the book was when it arrived. I was wanting a hardcover version, after this showed up I realize why hardcovers wasn't an option, totally not needed. Would buy again.

Pretty cool book. Most is pretty basic for beginners but some sections like suspension go into more expert detail.

Let me just say that you will ugly cry over this--I started crying during the introduction! It looks like a children's book, but no way will you ever ever ever be able to read this to your kids without sobbing uncontrollably and scaring the bejezus out of them. LOL That being said, I LOVE this book, just as any parent who can get super-emotional about how quickly these babes are growing up can love a book. As soon as I read it, I ordered six more for my close mama friends and my mother-in-law for Mother's Day. All of them sobbed. My husband even encouraged his male employees to give it to their moms for Mother's Day too! It is altogether lovely and terrible, since it underlines and highlights how much of a blur childhood is for us parents...what a wonderfully hard and fast road it is.

My wife highly recommends this book to mothers of all kinds. She received it has a gift when we had our daughter and she immediately purchased three more to give away to others. The concept of the book is very unique and hits home for most mothers. It is something you never really think about, the last time you do certain things with your child and the impact those times will have on you as the parent. The illustrations are very nice but really it's the overall concept of the book that hits home and is hard to forget. It is a perfect gift for expecting and new mothers. We would most definitely highly recommend it to others.

This book left me a blubbering mess. I would say this is not a book for your child. This book is for the parents to read when we are feeling stressed, angry, overwhemlmed, etc with our children. It gives me an attitude adjustment that helps me enjoy every chaotic moment with my son. This book is a blessing.

It was written by a mom of six children, Karen Kingsbury. In the beginning of the book, the author writes a message of how the book was created. Everyone celebrates "a child's first steps, first word, first tooth" but there will never be moment when you will know it's your child's last. Time flies and we must appreciate the moment we have today especially with little ones because they grow up so quickly. The book will touch the heart of any mom that has sons.

I am in love with this book. You will need tissues nearby but as a mom it touches your heart and gently reminds you to treasure the time you have with your children. This book is one of my go to baby shower gifts

This is one of my all time favorite "children's" books. I put children's in quotes because it's just as much for parents as it is for their children. I used to read this book quite often to my children when they were little. They're too old for that now, and I sincerely miss those days. The pictures are wonderful but the message it sends to parents is one that should never be forgotten. Karen Kingsbury hit the mark with this book. It is, in my opinion, one of the best children's books ever written. I always give this book as a gift at baby showers. You definitely won't regret buying this book.

We love reading this book for both our 17 year old and 2 year old. Looking back and what was and looking ahead at what's to come, it's a great reminder that time goes by so quickly, they grow up fast and to cherish every moment and age.

Got this for my 6 year old son. I read it to him the other night and we were both in tears by the end. A real treasure and I'll be taking extra special care of it so I can give it to him when he goes off to college. Totally tugs at the heartstrings. Very well written and it is relatable for parents and kids alike.
